2016 PNYL Debuts in Seattle

This past Sunday Northwest Water Polo Club played host to the first round of 2016 Pacific Northwest Youth League scrimmages. Founded in 2015 by Fraser Valley Water Polo, Northwest Water Polo Club and Saanich Water Polo School the PNYL is designed to provide water polo competition to youth athletes of all skill levels throughout the Pacific Northwest. 2016's PNYL features 24 teams from 10 clubs playing in 3 divisions (12u coed, 14u girls/coed and 14u boys). On Sunday boys and girls age 8-14 enjoyed a variety of scrimmages and fun at the Mercer Island Beach Cub near Seattle, Washington. Throughout the day teams competed hard, with several clubs and squads posting great performances.
Spartan and Rain Citu 12 coed teams both had great performances in the 12u division while Saanich girls and Spartan girls rose to the top of the 14u girls/coed division after day 1. Fraser Valley Black and Northwest both went undefeated to pace the 14u boys division. Congratulations to all the teams on a good day of games and making the PNYL a great event for everyone involved.
